Lenny D. Thomas Foundation
The Lenny D. Thomas Foundation was established in 2023. With this new initiative, we will focus on informing people about CIDP, empowering those who live with it everyday The Foundation looks to accelerate the development of a cure. Furthermore, since my condition was exacerbated by trauma and loss, we will also focus on supporting survivors of suicide. Providing them with an abundance of resources to aid in their healing. Lastly, we will bring awareness to the plight of homeless veterans, in hopes of finally addressing the epidemic it is in this country. I know both of these issues personally, and rather than sitting down in a Victim mindset, I have elected to rise to the occasion and create Victory for others.
About our Founder
Leonard Douglas Thomas, or 'Lenny'—a rising star featured in Tyler Perry's Ruthless and other notable projects. Born and raised in New York City, Lenny's journey into acting took an unexpected turn after a life-altering event redirected his path.
Lenny has graced various television and film projects, showcasing his versatility in acting and producing. Beyond the screen, Lenny is passionately dedicated to addressing Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), a condition that has personally touched his life. Fueled by researched numbers highlighting the urgent need for a cure, Lenny channels his influence to raise awareness and support for those affected by this debilitating illness.
His commitment extends beyond the spotlight, focusing on finding ways to support those in need of a cure and therapy as they navigate the healing process. Lenny's mission goes beyond entertainment; it's about making a meaningful impact in the world and providing hope for those seeking recovery.
